Internal Reflection (2004) is an installation that illuminates the complexity of nature through photography, lighting and sound. I have created an environment of natural forms trapped and frozen in time. It is vulnerable and fragile; permanent and vanishing.
Enter a dark room lit by only the light shining on these ice forms. Infinite reflections continue into the depths of the floor. Long shadows are cast on the walls. The sounds of Celtic and Balinese instruments resonate making the environment both beautiful and sad. Sit on a park bench and contemplate.
I hope that the experience of entering this work will inspire Internal Reflection.
