AFTERMATH

Aftermath is a series of photographs that captures the ultraviolet light found in the magnificent landscape of Iceland.

Four months after Eyjafjallajökull’s dramatic eruption, I made my third visit to Iceland. Surveying the volcano’s crater and the country from a Cessna 172 single-engine aircraft, I documented this dramatic and magical landscape. The vivid saturated colors of the landscape were further heightened by ultraviolet light.

Through my lens, I attempt to convey Iceland’s geological wonders and otherworldly features.

My photographs highlight the power and austerity of nature amidst the ongoing environmental and atmospheric destruction that is taking place globally.
